Facilities Services is a team of specialist engineers working
within Civil Aerospace Operations. There prime function is providing
our worldwide customer base, a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) /
Tooling provisioning and Facilities/Test Cell planning service, for both existing and
future Rolls-Royce engine types except BRR and Allison engine types. Within the Aeromanager
portal, eligible customers can now access tooling data including
drawings, images and the latest bulletins under the ‘Aftermarket’
menu selection.
Tooling Provision
One of the prime responsibilities of facility services is
for the validation of engine tooling and ground support equipment
(G.S.E.) ‘on engine’ in conjunction with the responsible
RR engineering groups. It is this association that makes us
the only provider of genuine OEM validated and supported GSE
and Tooling for all Civil Rolls-Royce engine types except BRR and Allison engine types.
Tooling and GSE are supported through the authorship, distribution
and control of technical data such as: user guides, drawings
and technical bulletins.
Facilities Services provides a 'one stop shopping' service
which includes a sale catalogue of tooling and GSE, an Initial
Provisioning service, manufacturing supply chain and delivery
service for entry into service and service operation. This
process includes the sale of previously owned equipment and
the leasing of equipment.
Facilities Engineering Support
Facilities Services in collaboration with strategic partner/specialists
provides a ‘turn-key’ Project Management service
for the specifying, designing, building and commissioning
of Module Change, Assembly/Disassembly and Test Facilities.
This service covers Civil, Plant, Tooling and Process Engineering
as well as the subsequent certification.
In association with the customer and RR engineering groups,
Facilities Services develops and validates both new and existing
maintenance and test processes subsequently adding these to
the Engine Manual.
Additionally, Facilities Services provides a calibration service
to ensure a customer’s test facility is calibrated in
line with the RR master test bed.
